On June 1st, 2018, Jim and I decided to go to the ghost town of Aurora, NV. Jim has some history there since his Great Grandfather owned a butcher shop there in the 1860's and his Great Aunt dated Samuel Clemens (Mark Twain) but her father made her stop seeing him because he felt that Mr. Clemens was a "n'er do well" which means "wouldn't amount to anything".
All that remains of the town are some abandoned gold mines and mills, prospecting holes and the rubble of the buildings that stood there 150 years ago. It was a wonderful day and I found a few tiny flowers in the desert too. You will be seeing lots of photos from this area since I plan to return there often
