Seeing History Through the Lens
When the west was young one of the first things they established was the railroads and Nevada has successfully restored and preserved the history of the railroads that have made the west great. Moving here from Nebraska I have also put a spattering of railroad pics from the Midwest, I hope you enjoy.

Snow Removal Rail Car
This railcar was once used to remove snow from the tracks that went over the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range. It now rests in memoriam in Truckee CA.

Donner Train Tunnels
I was able to tour the abandoned train tunnels near Donner CA. To avoid avalanches blocking the tracks they build these train tunnels to protect them. The tunnels are fulled with graffiti

Nevada Train Museum in Carson City
During a visit to the Railroad Museum in Carson City I was able to step inside this old passenger railcar and snap a few candid pictures. It was like stepping back intto histoory.
